Perfect Beach Escape
Gulf Shores is just a perfect spot for a family getaway. The white sand beaches are unbelievable and so clean. It's got a laid-back feel that's hard to find. We found plenty of good places to eat and things for the kids to do. Really relaxing.
More Than Just Beaches
There's a lot to do besides just sitting on the beach. We spent a lot of time at the Gulf State Park. The trails are great for biking or a long walk. The pier is huge and gives you some amazing views of the coastline. A nice change of pace.
Great Seafood and Sand
Gulf Shores has some of the best seafood I've ever had. We made sure to try the Royal Red shrimp and they were fantastic. The beaches are the main draw, of course, and they're just beautiful. A great place to just unwind and eat well.
Fantastic for Families
Such a great destination for families with kids. Everything felt very safe and easy to get to. Our kids loved playing in the sand and the shallow water. We found lots of fun spots to eat like The Hangout that were casual and welcoming.
So Peaceful
We stayed out on the West Beach part of town and it was so peaceful. The crowds were smaller which was nice. Just miles of beautiful sand and surf. It's the perfect place to disconnect and just enjoy the scenery. Very restorative.
Simple and Beautiful
The main attraction is the sugar-white sand and it's incredible. I spent most of my time just walking the coastline. Sunsets are spectacular. It's a simple, straightforward beach town that delivers exactly what you're looking for: sun and relaxation.
